AForge.NET Framework 2.2.0 is now available

Would like to make everybody aware of the new AForge.NET framework 2.2.0 release, which just became available for downloads. Although its planned release date was changed several times delaying the new version more and more, it finally become available - as it is supposed to be.

As it can be seen from the version number, the new release is a major release. And it can be clearly seen from the amount of work being put into it:

• Considerable amount of issues registered in issue tracking system were fixed;
• New AForge.Video.FFMPEG namespace, which provides classes to read/write video files using FFmpeg open source library. The new namespace is supposed to substitute old AForge.Video.VFW namespace someday providing better API to access video files.
• New AForge.Video.Kinect namespace, which provides access to Microsoft Kinect sensor using Open Kinect open source library.
• New AForge.Video.Ximea namespace, which provides access to cameras provided by XIMEA.
• 3D pose estimation classes based on POSIT and Coplanar POSIT algorithms. See dedicated article about it.
• New image processing routines, like transformation to polar, transformation from polar, Bayer filter, ordered color dithering, etc.
• And lots more other fixes around the framework.
