which network and how to

hello,

i have 7 values which are the initial peferences for a result value...

so i thought about using the time series example (training the 7 values to the one result), but is this the correct network and the correct way to manage it?!
there are so many networks and learning rules? do i need to transform all values to one scala?

Well, it is hard to say anything, since description of the problem you are trying to solve is not clear enough. Is recognition task? or prediction? approximation? classification?
