what is the current Status of AForge.NET?
The last Version was released a while ago.
But I saw that CVSandbox had a recent release.
Does CVSandbox use AForge.NET?
Does it come with it's own Imaging library, which can be used as an API?

No major work is done in that direction.

No, it is not based on AForge.NET Framework.

Does it come with it's own Imaging library, which can be used as an API?

The imaging library may become available at some point in time. However not yet ready for that.
