SimulateTrigger working on windows 7 but not on windows8

Postby sachinchauhan007 » Sat Feb 11, 2017 7:43 am

when i use SimulateTrigger to raise snapshotframe event, this is
working fine on windows 7 but when same code and same usb camera run on
windows 8 then SimulateTrigger does not raise snapshotframe event. i have
tried to debug using aforge source code as well but could not find, why
this is happening.

Don't know. Maybe different drivers on Win7 and 8.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your quick response. yes it may be because of different driver on both OS.
I am .net programmer working since 2006, i have faced this type of problem in one of my project which was based on internet traffic filtering through kernel level network driver, on windows 8, network driver could not detect quick protocol. i think SimulateTrigger is also facing some issue on windows 8 driver. I am describing this because i feel i can try to fix this issue, if you can help me and tell me which code snippet is responsible for this. although i am not a driver level programmer but May be i can contribute little work to this project.

You don't need to fix drivers. I doubt you have code of those.

Have a look at at the code of AForge.NET Framework - it is open.Maybe you will spot something there. However, if driver does not support triggering on Windows 8, there is nothing you can do on the framework level.
With best regards,
Andrew
